I really wish it would snow. It's rare here in south Texas, but occasionally we do see a few snowflakes during the winter. This week's challenge at
The Friday Mashup, is to make a snowman card. I decided to do something a little different for this challenge and I just love the way my card turned out.
I decided to combine two challenges again, so chose the color challenge at
The Paper Players. Their challenge is to use the colors Cherry Cobbler, Gold and Very Vanilla. I used Cheery Cobbler for the base card color and the ink color for the stamped sentiment, Very Vanilla for the stamped layer and gold brads for the gold color. The only other color I used is a little light blue.
I started with a 6" square base card. On a 5-1/2" square white card I stamped snowmen in a circle (using a light box and a circle template) then colored them with markers and watercolor. I stamped a
Verve sentiment in the center then attached the layer to the card. Lastly I added gold brads at each corner.

Deb, I saw this as one of the picks at the paper players and just LOVE this look and design! What a cool out of the box way to use this little snowman! I also love that you used a Verve sentiment on the inside! Awesome card!
