Let it Snow

I really wish it would snow. It's rare here in south Texas, but we do see a few snowflakes fall during the cold winter season. This week's challenge at The Friday Mashup, is to make a snowman card. I decided to do something a little different for this challenge and I just love the way my card turned out. When I imagined the card I imagined several snowman images in a circle with a sentiment in the center.

I decided to combine two challenges again, so chose the color challenge at The Paper Players. Their challenge is to use the colors Cherry Cobbler, Gold and Very Vanilla. I used Cheery Cobbler for the base card color and the ink color for the stamped sentiment, Very Vanilla for the stamped layer and gold brads for the gold color. The only other color I used is a little light blue. I started with a 6" square base card. On a 5-1/2" square white card I stamped snowmen in a circle (using a light box and a circle template) then colored them with markers and watercolor. I stamped a Verve sentiment in the center then attached the layer to the card. Lastly I added gold brads at each corner.
