I love this card. I will use it as one of my winter cards this year to send to my stamping friends.
I started with a white tent card. I embossed the top of the card with a dotted texture folder. On a separate piece of white card stock I stamped a snowy forest image in black and backed it with some black card stock. I attached it to the top area of the card. For the bottom I hand lettered the words 'Let it snow' then snowflake embossed the very bottom of the card.

I just love this card. I saw this layout somewhere and I really liked the look of it. I used my Thoughts & Prayers (Stampin' Up!) floral vine image and added punched flowers in the same color as the base card. Then I used the same color ink for the sentiment. Punching just two corners of the stamped layer gave it interest and the white ribbon under it just made it complete.

I have a friend that is going through a very rough time with vertigo. So today I wanted to make a card for her to let her know I'm thinking about her. I decided to make a card that combined two card challenges. I used the card sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and the color combo from Dynamic Duos.
I started with a white card then added layers of purple and white for the base. On the top white layer I added a strip of decorative purple paper, a purple striped strip and a cream colored rectangle on which I stamped the sentiment.
For the embellishment in the corner I added a die cut butterfly. Before adding the decorative paper butterfly I backed it with the same purple I used as a layer. I glued it at the body so that the wings could be lifted.

I have come to realize that the best gift to give someone expecting a baby is a gift card. That way, they can purchase what they need for the baby. The fun part for me is that I get to make something to hold the gift card. My favorite gift card holder is a decorated CD case.
This weeks challenge over at The Play Date Cafe is to combine Caribbean Blue, Shoreline and Sunshine on a card or project. These are the perfect colors for the gift card holder because we don't know if the baby is a boy or girl. I just purchased a set of Stampin' Up! baby stamps, so decided to use a couple of the images.
I used a piece of striped card stock for the inside of the case. The images were stamped on the yellow decorative paper in blue then tiny pearls were added to the wheels and hood of the buggy. I finished it off with a tiny piece of blue ribbon, then attached the stamped layer to the front of the CD case. I also made a small envelope (to hold the gift card) and attached it inside the case.

Today I wanted to make a card for a special lady I know. She is a pastor's wife and one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She was recently in the hospital with an infection and when our church members went to visit her, she was the one who ministered to them, not thinking of herself. That's a special person.
I started with a white A-2 card and added a green background layer. I added a decorative green paper piece that I punched holes in to add a ribbon bow. I stamped a green leaf image (Stampin' Up!) on white then backed it with the same color as the background layer. The image was then placed to the side of the decorative paper. Lastly, I printed out a tag that I cut with an oval Nestabilities die. The tag was then attached to the bow.

I really like this oriental bird on a twig stamp image. It's one of my favorite images. Today I made a card for a stamping friend using a blue decorative paper. The addition of a little self adhesive circle embellishment finished the card off nicely.

I love butterflies and I recently ordered a cut-work butterfly die from Marianne Designs. I thought it would be perfect for my cut-work cards, where I die cut a shape in the front of the card then put a butterfly across the opening. I love this die cut, so this morning I made a card using one.
I started with a 5" x 7" decorative card. I die cut an oval shape on the right side and attached the die cut butterfly over the opening. I cut a strip of pink and stamped Happy Birthday (an Impression Obsession stamp) on the strip. I backed the pink strip with a burgundy strip and added three gold brads. I then attached it to the card.

I really like the combination of red, white and black on a card. Today I wanted to make a few Thinking of You cards, so went with that color combination.
I started with an A-2 white tent card. I stamped Thinking of You in red on white card stock then stamped black fern leaves at the top and bottom. I die cut the stamped piece using my Nestabilities oval die. I backed this layer with a die cut oval in deep red. I die cut a Top Note shape out of decorative black and white floral paper and adhered it to a white layer that I also backed in deep red. I added a gold brad at each corner of the die cut then adhered the stamped oval piece to the center with pop dots. All layers were then added to the card.
