Stampin' Up! Garden Collage

As I said in a previous post, I love the Stampin' Up! set, Garden Collage. The set only contains three stamps, but I love the collage-look of the images. Today I decided to make a card with the butterfly collage image.

I started with an A-2 card and covered the front with a blue decorative card stock. I then die cut a circle on the right side which I framed with a solid circle that was also die cut. On a seperate piece of white card stock I stamped the butterfly collage and backed it with a scalloped die cut piece. The image was placed on the inside of the card where it would show through the die cut circle opening. Next I cut a piece of contrasting decorative card stock into a little banner shape where I also added gold brads. This was glued on to the left side of the card. Lastly I stamped Just Saying Hello on the inside next to the butterfly image.

Quick and Easy Birthday Card

I am making more and more cards with a curved decorative background paper because I really like the way it looks. Today I made the curved piece so it would fit the left side of the card. I had this gorgeous floral paper, so cut it using my curved template and attached it to an A-2 card. I used Orchid Opulence ink for the happy birthday sentiment, which I stamped at the top. I used one of my die cut butterflies (trying to match the color of the ink) at the bottom.

Bird Song

I love this stamp set from Stampin' Up! It's the 1995 set Garden Collage and today I thought I'd make a few cards using the bird image. I came across a card I made years ago and decided to use the same layout. The set also contains a butterfly collage stamp that I really like. I think it is the collage aspect of the image that makes me like it so much.
